the best striped shirt + my favorite music venues
Happy Monday! Another week in the books and I have to say it was probably one of the most eventful ones this Summer. I went to two concerts at two of my favorite venues in Charlotte: 2 Chainz (Pretty Girls Like Trap Music Tour) at The Fillmore and Chase Rice (swoon!) at Coyote Joe’s. The best part about both of these venues is that they’re small so you get the up-close-and-personal experience with some of your favorite artists. The Fillmore hosts a huge variety of genres from country music to rap, punk and metal. In fact, Ke$ha will be there at the end of September and after hearing some of her not-autotuned music (which let’s face it, we all love those catchy songs!) I have to admit I kind of want to go. However, I’m most excited about seeing Jon Pardi at Coyote Joe’s October 14. This venue is more like an old school honky tonk. By “old school” I mean no fuss, a mechanical bull, and cash only bars. That’s right, I said “cash only.” Honestly I’ll fool with going to the ATM if that means I can get a $3 beer vs a $20 beer at PNC or Spectrum Center. Only bad thing at Coyote Joe’s is the AC. I’m not sure if it wasn’t running well or there were just so many people in that building on Saturday that it couldn’t be helped, but it was so hot in there we all were sweating off our make-up within the first hour of the show. Not cute! Other than that, when it comes to the Charlotte music scene make sure you check out these venues next time you’re looking for a concert! They won’t disappoint!
Speaking of the heat, I want to talk to you about this incredibly lightweight, super soft shirt from Luxe Angel Boutique. I love that it’s short-sleeve and has a boxy shape that makes it easy to wear. You don’t have to worry about the button front gaping or it being too fitted in the shoulders. You can wear it loose, tie it in the front like they did here, or tuck it in like I did in this post! I’ve paired it with a great pair of essential skinny jeans by Hidden, which is one of the many amazing brands that Luxe Angel Boutique carries. I love the raw hem! The best part is that they’re available for less than $100. That right there is an amazing deal!
You can buy this top online, but the jeans are only available in-store right now! I’ve linked some similar ones above, but to get this exact look call or visit Luxe Angel Boutique in Charlotte, NC! If you’re in the area make sure you participate in their September Denim Drive: this month only bring in a gently worn pair of jeans to donate and receive 20% off your purchase! All donations go to the Safe Alliance of Charlotte, which is a crisis center for those who have experienced sexual or domestic violence. It’s an incredible cause that Luxe Angel Boutique is choosing to being a part of! I also recommend joining their VIP text program. There is more info in the picture below. If you have any questions about how to style this top or how to shop this look, feel free to shoot me a message at firstname.lastname@example.org or comment on this post. Hope you all have a fabulous week!
