metallic flats

It’s the beginning of the work week *sigh* and the temperature has dropped.  Yesterday it was grey and gloomy; it threatened rain outside all day.  So I’ve decided to throw on these rose gold flats to put a little more pep in my step on this Monday.

Metallic shoes are a great way to accent winter outfits and as a flat they add a little bit of comfort, too.  I love a good silver oxford with skinny ponte knit pants or distressed denim.  Put them with boyfriend jeans and I’m sold!  Gold is more my color, so I had to have these as a great basic.  Unfortunately they are sold out on asos.com, but have no fear for I have put together a selection of all sorts of metallic footwear that will be perfect additions to your closet!  Honestly, I wish they were all part of my collection.  A number of them have been in my shopping cart multiple times.  However, if I bring home another pair of shoes (there are two on the way at the moment) my husband may cry.  My shoes have more room in the closet(s) than his button downs.  Aren’t those the things they love about us?!

1.chase & chloe gold loafer 2. shoes of prey silver d’orsay 3. nine west ‘onlee’ flat
4. calvin klein oxford 5. aquazurra christy lace-up 6. charlotte olympia kitty flat
7. louise et cie loafer 8. loeffler randall cut out flat 9. tibi denni loafers 10. vince flat

The Chase & Chloe loafers are a great basic, but I really love the pewter Louise et Cie loafer with the tassel on the front.  It’s a nice feminine interpretation of a menswear classic.  For a more modern look go for the Tibi Denni slip-ons.  Mules are hot right now and these are a really cool addition to this trend.  If you’re a size 8 or a size 10 grab the Vince Nina flats in pewter before they’re gone!!!  A local boutique, Sloan, has just a few sizes left!!  I had a hard time finding these and I’m contemplating squeezing my feet into whatever is left at the boutique.  The things we do for style…
